On October 17, 2026 is the BC Trustee Elections!

School trustees are elected members of a board of education. School trustees represent the public and advocate for public education in their community.

School District 54 (Bulkley Valley) will conduct elections for school board trustees within the following areas:

Zone 1 – Lake Kathlyn / Evelyn / Witset (1 trustee)

   Zone 1 – Declaration of Candidates 

Zone 2 – Smithers / Glentanna / Driftwood (3 trustees)

    Zone 2 – Declaration of Candidates prepared by the Town of Smithers

Zone 3 – Telkwa / Quick (1 trustee)

    Zone 3 – Declaration of Candidates prepared by the Village of Telkwa 

Zone 4 – Houston ( 2 trustees)

   Zone 4 – Declaration of Candidates prepared by the District of Houston 

Key Dates:

The nomination period is September 1 – September 11

Pre-campaign period begins – July 20

Nomination period begins – September 1

Close of nominations – September 11

General Voting Day – October 17
